Global Terms of Service

Effective September 7, 2026 · Global service at alphatutor.site

A parent or legal guardian owns the family account and is responsible for a child's use. The Tutor supports learning through guided questions; it does not guarantee grades or replace a teacher, doctor, lawyer, or emergency service.

1. Accounts and guardian responsibility

You must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and promptly report unauthorized access. Children use guardian-created profiles and may not register independently. The guardian is responsible for selecting age-appropriate features and curricula and for giving any required consent.

2. Educational service and AI limitations

AlphaTutor provides AI-assisted tutoring, practice, feedback, speech, and learning records. AI and automated recognition can make mistakes. Users should check important results and seek a qualified professional where appropriate. The service is not an examination authority and does not promise admission, scores, or any specific learning outcome.

3. Acceptable use

4. GLOBAL plans, billing, and cancellation

The GLOBAL service is available to users who can access it, including users visiting from Mainland China, and always uses the GLOBAL USD catalog and Stripe checkout. Choosing Chinese as the interface or Tutor language does not change the service region, model profile, currency, or price.

Monthly and annual Pro plans renew automatically until cancelled. One-time token and voice packs do not renew. Prices exclude taxes unless checkout states otherwise; Stripe calculates applicable tax from billing information. You can manage payment methods or cancel renewal through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

Refund requests are reviewed under the policy shown at purchase, service-delivery records, and applicable mandatory consumer law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

5. Content, data, and privacy

You retain rights in content you submit. You authorize us and our service providers to process that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service as described in the Global Privacy Notice. You must not upload content that infringes another person's rights.

6. Availability, regions, and third-party services

The service depends on cloud, model, communications, email, and payment providers. Features, latency, supported voices, or model routes may differ by deployment and may change after testing. Planned maintenance, provider outages, safety controls, or legal requirements can temporarily limit access. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.

7. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect children, users, the service, or third parties; prevent fraud or abuse; comply with law; or address a material breach. A guardian may request account closure and data handling through in-product support, subject to required transaction, security, and legal retention.

8. Changes, responsibility, and disputes

We may update these Terms when the service, providers, pricing model, or legal obligations change. Material changes will be presented in the service before they take effect where required. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without guarantees beyond those expressly stated. Applicable mandatory consumer and children's rights remain unaffected.

Questions, billing disputes, or legal notices should be sent through the support channel inside the family account or the contact method shown on the purchase page. The applicable operator identity and transaction details are those shown at checkout or on the corresponding receipt.
